Work a restaurant with only one sim, part 2 of 3

The customer who took Bigfoots jello puts it down at the counter.

The jello is still on the counter. The customer who took it from Zombie Bigfoot didn't eat it either. Must be one of those social situations were... "I don't want it, but don't want you to have it either." Sometimes, sims are very human.

The customer in the red shirt is now standing in line at the host podium.
More complaints about wanting their own empty table.

Get tipped.
Re-decorate: I sold the counter and the stools. I placed 6 tables, each with only one chair, around the chef stove. Curtis has just finished preparing the last "magic" meal and is ready to re-open the shop.

-- -- -- -- -- --

- The next few pictures show how Curtis juggles the new set up. -

The shop fills up pretty quick. Curtis shows the customers to their tables.
Curtis has three customers at tables while 2 are at the podium. The two at the podium were not ready to be seated when the other 3 were. The first customer is eating, while he takes an order from the 2nd customer. The third customer is sipping water.
Curtis, now the chef, makes a quick meal. The third customer (purple shirt) is getting tired of waiting for service (-star).
Curtis takes the final customers order. The first customer is done and leaving the table. The two waiting at the podium remain patient (no negative stars yet).
He earns a tip from the first customer.

Curtis serves the food to the 2nd customer. The others are waiting patiently.

Curtis makes the meal. One waiting customer is getting impatient.

Curtis serves the food to the final sim at the tables.

The sims at the podium are seated.

Curtis takes the order from a customer. Two new customers looking at the menu at the podium. The customer in the purple shirt, who lost a star, has a +star.

----- end of the detailed steps --

With the above, I could have alternated the chef stoves. I didn't to see how the customers would react if he did everything as it happened. After the above test, I started rotating chef stoves unless there were no waiting customers.

The shop is at Rank 5. Curtis needs 3 more customer loyalty stars to reach Rank 6.

Note: Rank 5 to 6 took longer to achieve than any other rank level. Once I got the table's, podium, and chef stove in place, rank progressed quicker.
I pull out the voodoo doll for a quick star boost. I'm lucky it didn't back fire, I've got a full house.

I add an instrument to give waiting or finished customers something to do. Money is tight, so I can't put in very many. I thought if I could get a few sims to hang around a little longer, I could buy time serving those who were hungry. It didn't work out well. The sim in the picture was the only sim who ever went to the stand.

(only 3 chef stoves with food ready)

Rank 6!!!!
Yo-yo Rank. It went back and forth for a while, before it finally stayed at rank 6.

Five customers waiting for food. The two with empty plates in front of them are from the previous customers. (ewe) The sims don't seem to mind.

Shop is closed to allow Curtis time to restock all of the chef stoves. I moved the podium to the front and the instruments to the side.

I added the venue ticket master to buy Curtis some time. Customers would line up at the podium faster than he could get them seated and served. The venue allows another stop to slow customers down. The shop is still not making much money, so with this he can make a little during the time the customers are waiting for service. Just a little, as the price is placed at the lowest rate, or one up from that.

Pop up to show there are no employees on the payroll.

Curtis shows one customer to her table. Three customers looking at the menu and one at the venue.
Note: I didn't think of it until now, but I could have raised the cost of the food in the shop. That would have slowed down the waiting customers at the podium. The prices are at cheap, which explains why the shop isn't making very much money.

Four customers at the tables, the blond is eating. One customer waiting for a seat, while two are looking at the menu.

Curtis serving food. One customer is finished eating and is leaving. Currently, no one is waiting to be seated. No one is using the instruments.
Glitch: At this point customers stop eating the food. Once they get their food, they get up and leave. This causes things to cycle through quicker (old customers out, new ones in). It becomes difficult to keep up with the pace.

I move the tables around a little, trying to find that magical set up.

As a result of a voodoo backfire, Curtis runs off to the energizer. (serves me right for tyring to take short cuts. Oops, I mean serves him right.) Most of the time, I close the shop when his needs drop. Close shop, re-stock chef stoves, re-energize, re-open store.

Rank 7. There are 7 customers in the shot.

Return to part one, advance to part three.

Lots of trips to the energizer.

Since the sims are fortune, they are easy to keep in plat. They spin easy wants to fill and lots of OFB shop wants.
