Neighborhood shot of The Great Grim Grotto Flood of 2009.Location #1 - The area I had the beach front apartment that kept sinking into the ground. After I moved the lot, there is left over flood water.
Location #2 - I deleted the beach apartment and placed a non beach lot in the same area. The lot I built there caused a flood in the pond are in the middle of the lot. #2 location is a place that lot once stood.
Location #3 - Is the non-beach lot that I built and moved around Grim Grotto looking for a place it wouldn't sink below sea level. The lot has the flood water problem no matter were I put it. It isn't visible from the neighborhood until after I put someone into the lot.
Grim Grotto 2, is well above flood stage. So far (crossing fingers, toes, and legs) no flooding issues.
Net Worth $199,144.
This picture was taken just to show the reflective # in the mirror. I never would have guessed the back of the number was blue.
Another broken clean bot. It was fixed quickly and didn't result in any further lot drama (no roaches, and no death by flies).
When I first loaded the lot, I'd planned to play out the week then move the family out in order to move them to Grim Grotto 2. A few days into it, I decided to skip that and just move them. I cashed in OFB rank points and shut down the home OFB shop.
Candy moves off to uni with $4750 in scholarship.
Curtis moves off to uni with $5,500 in scholarship.
Grim Grotto 2. The founder lot is placed and ready for Ella to move in.
I decided to spend most of the week having Ella paint.
First painting sells for $878. (I'll hold on to it until a sim needs it for aspiration boost).
After about 3.5 paintings, Ella trudges over to the energizer.
Then Ella teleports, witch style, to the painting room.
Tue 7:21 pm $158,949 Cash.
She has 6 paintings done in the painting room.
This painting sells for $982. I think it is the highest I've seen her paintings go for. I once had a sim whose paintings went over 1,000. I was trying to see if I could build her painting skill up that high or if the previous experience was a glitch. She isn't to far off from it.

Note: Even at her paintings going for almost 1k, it is still more profitable to dig for treasure. If lucky, she could dig up one or more treasure chests in the same amount of time it takes to create one painting. At this point, she has more money than she needs so "painting" for fun is more valuable than the other.
Misc: I originally didn't plan to move sims into any of my lots. I didn't count on the fact that would exclude a lot of jar/disaster cards. I rolled the randomizer (link on jar challenge page) for about 6 disaster cards to work on. Since Ella is past the "struggle" stage, I decided to give her the above card to work on. The house will take a -3500 pt hit for moving in a sim (bigfoot). She is doing pretty well in points, so the hit shouldn't be that painful. (point calculations for each lot coming in week 8)
Ella arrives at her empty vacation lot in the "Three Lakes" area. She spends her time digging for treasure and energizing. I didn't bother to build a house, as I'm not planning to stay on vacation that long.
She arrives at the secrete lot.

She arrives at the secrete lot.Ella uses her voodoo doll on Bigfoot. (2 cards in one round).
No hidden fun secrete with using the voodoo doll on bigfoot or the wise old man. There is a fun surprise if you use it on the witch doctor.
Even though the vacation was very short, Ella earns 3 vacation benefits.
I checked Ellas contacts to see if she had a vampire friend. She didn't. I was going to take her to a community lot and begin the hunt and relationship building. I decided against it as I'd rather finish up this lot to get on to the future offspring. I boolproped the vampire. (shift + click on mail box.... make npc.... grand vampire) A few moments later the vampire walks onto the lot.
Bigfoot borrows the voodoo doll and makes instant friends with the vampire. Being impatient, I make the vampire selectable to have her bite bigfoot. The option isn't there. NO VAMPIRE bigfoot for me. Not a problem, lets see if he can be a zombie.
Bigfoot dies a sudden unexpected death.
Since I can't make a zombie with the genie lamp, I cheat once again. I use the sim modder to give ella all of the career rewards (almost all). I just need grims phone, the rest remain in her backpack.
I call grim and slide up a small amount. I don't recall the cut off for zombie, so hope for the best. I got lucky and it worked on the first try.
Bigfoot comes back in a cloud of red flaming smoke.
Bigfoot seems to be in agony.
His gait is unchanged from his normal lumbering walk. He doesn't drag his leg or hang his head to the side as proper zimbies do. He does think of brains. His icon picture is zombie style.

Misc: I enjoy having a Bigfoot as a playable sim. He has a few hidden secrets. When he comes home from work, he always has an item. He has a special hug and way to show anger (or perhaps low aspiration).

I get a pop up saying Armando has been resurrected... as a zombie! Good luck with your new "creation." Jar card (modified) completed.
Bigfoot hugs Ella. Ella had a want, so I couldn't deny her.
That one massive bear hug.
I decided I wanted to help Bigfoot age a little faster. Maybe he would have more zombie features as an elder. I use the sim modder to bottom out his aspiration and send him to the elixir. Instead of draining days off his life, it just drains his energy and hygiene. (so much for that).

The cheat shaved him and turned him into human zombie form He looked like an elder zombie, but not a Bigfoot. I tried to change him back and then he was a Bigfoot body with a human zombie head. (oops) I exited without save. All was fixed. (serves me right for being so impatient.)

Awesome! Too bad he couldn't be a vampire, but a zombie is cool too!
There is a walking baby in one of your pictures!
Okay, you always have so much fun. I do the cards and it's like, okay that's neat, let's go paint. As soon as I have a Gen 2. Adult, all they're going to do is jar card after jar card. I wish I could've seen him as a vamp. Can you boolProp him into a vampire? Reksims: I know this is about a month after your post, but just in case; the walking baby is a boolProp item.
