Work a restaurant with only one sim, part 1 of 3

Jar Card: Work a restaurant with only one sim.
Restaurant name: Burger Pops. (created lot, not maxis)
Mon. 4:31 pm, $98. Burger Pops floor plan at the start of the challenge.
Curtis, the only worker, must juggle time between being the host, chef, and server.
After all three customers are shown to their seats, he prepares the final dish of food.

Note: There are 3 chef stoves on the lot. The food under the platter is "magical." It stays fresh until served. It transforms to the food the customer orders even if the food was prepared days prior to the sims order.
After the food is cooked, Curtis takes the sims orders and serves the food.
Congratulations!!! The first dollar made at Burger Pops. Tues 6:49 am. $2,748.
Remodel: I move the host stand closer to the chef stoves. I take out all but one table. The changes were made to reduce steps in order to improve service.
Rank 1.
Curtis's needs are in the red. Earning rank 1 put him in plat aspiration. Off to the energizer, for a quick need refresher.

Misc: One objective is to keep Curtis aspiration high so he can use the energizer when needs drop. Since he is a fortune sim (as per poverty rules), he wants to build rank, badges, and other shop wants. It was easy keeping him plat, while alternating through the three jobs.
Note: I didn't take very many shots of the sim using the energizer. I wish I had as it would have shown how much he accomplished between refreshing. When I was playing it out, it didn't occur to me that "using the energizer" would be that interesting to add. If I attempt this again and blog it, I'll add energizer shots and an energizer used count.
Lost rank due to Curtis serving burnt food.

GLITCH: The burnt food was a result of a glitch that causes sims to lose cooking skills when they move into an apartment. (oops)

The customer talking to Curtis is upset because there isn't an empty table available. I wonder if this want is random or a result of a "shy" sim. Make Over: I take out the big table and add two smaller tables.

Curtis aspiration was low due to the loss in rank. He gets a quick bite to eat. Looks like grandma's comfort soup. If so, it takes care of two needs at once.

Curtis working as the server. One customer just got his food. One is drinking water. One standing waiting for something unknown to me.

Rank 3.

Rank 4.

Reconstruct: I took out the table and put in counters with stools.
Curtis gets a tip. WTG Curtis, good work!

Remodel: I add a room to the back of the shop to store extra chef stoves. The shop has a total of 6.

Curtis serves food to a customer.

I rotate the chef stoves while Curtis is working as a server. At first, it was difficult to predict which chef stove he would go to. Sometimes it was the one close to him and other times it wasn't. I decided to give "rotating the stoves a try," this helped things run a little more smoothly.
Another pictures showing the stoves as I rotate them.

This shot shows a line up in the sims queue. Basic line up that would work some of the time: Server (take order and serve food), podium (show waiting customers to table), server (take order of next sim - allowed them a few minutes to decide), cook (cook the food order), serve (serve food - take next order), cook, serve. Rank 5.
Lost rank due to not having an empty table for a customer.

Modify: I add a table and a chair. Rank 5 is re-earned pretty fast.

Another sim wanting a table instead of the counter.

Due to limited funds, I add a chair to the current table. (This didn't satisfy the want, the sim wanted an *empty* table.)

*Zombie* Bigfoot arrives, hungry for brains. ROFL

He takes a seat at the table. Curtis, the server, is bringing him his order of fresh brains (aka jello - shhh he doesn't know the difference.).

The sim in the red shirt walks over and takes the jello from Bigfoot. (pretty brave).

Wow, that is a really challenging one, isn't it? I'm amazed, because I can barely run a restaurant with an entire family and max motives. Very cool to see zombie big foot too! LOL

hahaha, what a great challenge. i can't wait to read parts 2 and 3. now is the sim allowed to go home and come back to work the business again or does the business have to reach level 10 in one go?

HA ha, bigfoot takes the jello as brains. Yeah, I have to say I'd never take Bigfoot's food out from under him. Especially a zombie Bigfoot.

*This card was a challenge, but it was fun to work it through.

*The sim is allowed to go home and back to the shop. The card is only to run the shop with one sim as long as you care to try it. So a person wouldn't have to take it to rank 10. Just give it their best shot.

*Bigfoot must have an easy going personality to allow a person to take his food without going into a rage. :)
