Start up is players choice. Roll a dice, use a maxis neighborhood, or create lots based on some objective you wish to try. Challenge ends when the first 5th generation sim dies of old age or if game becomes unplayable by some unkind game glitch that is beyond ones control.
Sim aspirations are picked per players choice. You may roll for them, pick them based on pre-teen sim wants, or other goal. My goal for this challenge is to have at least 4-10 of each aspiration or about the same # of each neighborhood wide.
Neighborhood Scoring:
Purpose of scoring is a way to show what has been accomplished. There is no way to measure one players score against another.
- 1 pt per sim
- 1 pt per alien (in addition to population score: 2 total points)
- 1 pt per $100,000 net worth neighborhood-wide
- 1 pt for reaching top of an adult career (x1/sim) [reduced for easier tracking]
- 3 pt per impossible want (x1/sim) IW should match sims aspiration at time of completion.
- 1 pt per platinum grave (create a graveyard or keep them on your lot)
- 1 pt for each unique NPC married or moved into the game. [score any sim you feel is unique NPC or Townie]
- -1pt - Sims taken by social worker are subtracted from the population. If adopted into another family, they are added back into the population score. In other words, you don't really lose a point if your able to move them back into a different lot.
University Scoring:
- 1 pt per zombie (in addition to population score)
- 1 pt per uni graduate (uni points changed to reduce point tracking)
NightLife
- 1 pt for each vampire that remains a vampire (in addition to population score) [player decides how long a sim needs to be a vampire to earn the point.]
OFB Scoring
- 1 pt - per servo. Servo's score as a normal sim.
- 1 pt - each sim who earns 20-25 shop perks
- 1 pt - per rank 10 shop owned at end of challenge. (if shop worked to rank 10 and falls to rank 8 or 9, you may still count it as rank 10)
- 1 pt - per earned gold badge (not per full set of badges) [see misc for more details]
Pets Scoring:
- o pt - pet population (move them in and out as desired)
- 1 pt - for each Dog generation - score longest consecutive pet line in the game
- 1 pt - for each Cat generation - score longest consecutive pet line in the game
- 1 pt - per pet grave
- 1 pt - per werewolf (in addition to population score)
Seasons Scoring
- 1 pt - per plant sim offspring. (Doesn't count towards ending the challenge at death of 5th generation elder sim. All scoring options are open to plantsims. They have a shorter lifespan, less time to complete points.)
- 1pt - per PlantSim Generation -score longest consecutive line (Each plantsim that is in the consecutive line must score a point such as but not limited to: TOC, IW, 1 earned gold badge, 40 mementos or other pt. They must be productive and not just vegetate.)
BV
- 1 pt - each Bigfoot in the game. May score any point except badges.
- 1 pt - each sim who completes 40-45 vacation memories/mementos.
Misc:
- Cheats and Hacks: You may avoid cheats and hacks or openly use them. (players choice)
- Sim may use the Orb aspiration reward anytime. No restrictions.
- A sim may be killed once they score a point (example: TOC, IW, 1 gold badge,...) The sim will still count toward population. Any points they earned are counted. No additional point for ghost color. (If a sim dies or is killed before they earn a point, they are not added to the population score.)
- Gold Badges - Avoid scoring gold badges you feel you didn't earn. Example: Bigfoot or Plantsim offspring. Score badge if you earn at least one level before they reach gold. Townie and other playable sims can earn gold badges while being employed on an OFB lot. Sims can earn fishing badge if asked to join fishing. IMO these badges are earned and would count toward gold badge. [players choice to decide what should count.]
- Players Choice - feel free to add or remove any rule that you find tedious or not a challenge. There is no way to compare two player scores against each other so feel free to make it your own. If you come up with a rule to make it more challenging, please feel free to post your idea to the comment section of this blog.
