Ella: Week 5

Networth $66,109.

With the move in restriction in mind, the only way the boys can add to the family line sharing their genetics is through an alien abduction. All G2 sims are to be fortune sims, causing the loss of an easy abduction through the FAB's (top knowledge FAB's is meet aliens). Therefore, I decide to jump start the neighborhood abductions through multiple users of the telescope. I send 4 available sims to look through the telescope. One of them earned $500 for finding a new star. In the sims, new stars are born nightly if not more often.

Since it is winter, it didn't take long for the sims temperature to drop. I didn't really take that into consideration when I sent them out to stargaze. Outside of this current challenge, I've never played with the winter season.

I add a room to move a couple of the telescopes into. So the kids can stargaze in warmth.

Bambie is in the new room getting ready to study while she warms up. There is a shot of her twin brother Bart in the upper corner with his temperature gauge. I'm really lucky I didn't get the SW visit.

I'm really really lucky I didn't get the SW visit. I forgot to put the roof on the new addition.

The kids get a snow day!!!
My very first sim snow day, I screamed in delight along with the sim kids.

Tuesday, 10:32. I got a pop up talking about the hotel bill being added to the home bills.
I noticed a problem with Ann's LTA Meter (I hope that's what its called). Its stuck at 4 when her brothers is at 6 or 7. I did a force error on the sim with boolprop and kept a close eye on her meter. That didn't work, so I tried the orb to change her aspiration to knowledge. That didn't work either, so I used boolprop to change her back to fortune. Maybe a move to uni will reset it.
Candy aged up to child. She did it so fast, I didn't get a before and after age up shot of her.

Curtis was napping, so I had time to catch his before and after age up picture. Its amusing to watch their ugly evolve as they age.

During vacation and this week, I've had sims doing activities to earn hobby interest points in order to get the genie lamp. It took the vacation up until now to get enough to earn it. The picture is showing the Matchmaker dropping off the Genie Lamp.

Networth: $60,358.
Ann's LTA meter is still stuck. I send her to wish for "peace of mind." This will give her perm plat status, sort of correcting the loss of her meter advancing as it should. I have two wishes left, I decide to save those for now.

Wed, 7:04 a.m. $27,041 cash on hand. (big difference in their cash verse net worth).

Another SNOW DAY for the kids. YEAH!!!!

Just about everyone in the house has a want to fish. The pond is frozen, so that want slot is froze up.

I decided to put a room around the pond to see if that would cause it to thaw and allow my sims to fish all year round. If nothing else, it will put the other two telescopes inside so sims can use those and not freeze.

Several sims had a want to get into a private school as well as the mom. Everyone got in, except the second set of twins, Bart & Bambie, because their grades were C-.

Thursday, 5:58 am. Ella is asleep. Andy just woke up and is making the bed. Ann is painting while sparkling due to her hobby being maxed out. Bart and Bambie are stargazing. Candy is painting while her twin brother, Curtis, is reading a book (probably learning to cook).

I booked a vacation for them for Monday. I'd never used the option to book a vacation in the future. It might be a nice way to end or start the week.

Ella invited her witch friend over. She made a contact with her while visiting a hobby lot early in her adulthood. She has called her on and off to build up the relationship. Their friendship is strong enough to ask her to teach me her the ways of the witch.

After she becomes a witch, she goes to the mailbox and sends rays of light to the lot. This picture gives a nice shot of the house. The pond remains frozen in the pond room. To bad, lots of sims still have the want to fish.

Ella, the good witch, decides to open up a home business.

Net worth: $71,712

I catch a couple of the boys jumping on a bed. Bart and Curtis, do I really need to read "5 Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" to you again?

I got a pop up saying that Bambie and Bart would grow up in one day. I did't want to miss their grow up picture so aged them up a day early.

During her childhood, I noticed her upper lip looked a tad odd. I didn't realize she had a large tooth gap.

Bart ages up. His nose grows with each age transition.

Ella was socializing with one of the guests in hopes of earning a few gold stars. One sim offers her a job, one of the new things that came with AL. She declines since having a job isn't part of this challenge.

When Ella isn't socializing, she is working to learn all she can about being a good witch. The next few shots are the spells and items she has learned to make.

This section is the spells for the good witch.

Evil Witch tab. The only thing she has open here is the ability to make people act like a chicken. (heeehee that could be fun).

Neutral Witch Tab
Craftable items are things she needs for spells, potions, and furniture items that are unique to witches. Such as: magically spiced sugar, witchbegone-e, plantophic-c, vamprocillin-d, lycanthropic-b, essence of light, crystallized moonbeans, mystic dust, dragon scales, eye of newt, viper's essence, stardust wall sconce, fairie fire floor lamp, star dusted ceililng lamp, and little miss wendalyn.

Here is Ella learning from the witch book.

My very first alien abduction for the neighborhood. This came quicker than I'd expected.

Bambie is the first to be abducted. I guess she just earned herself a new scholarship. WTG Bambie.

Bambie returns home.
I have about 4 things broken in the house. I decided to give the butler another try. If he doesn't do a good job, I may have to take him over to view the pool.

Oh my! Bambi and Bart got scarier looking as they aged up! LOL I admit I read these backwards, so when I got to the earliest entry I figured out how they all got so unique looking! And it is a shame they haven't figured out a way to fish "inside" yet, my sims always want that too, so annoying! Atleast ice fishing, we can do that in real life!

I didn't realize some kids could get into private school while others didn't. And for a poverty challenge, this family has a lot of stuff! Multiple telescopes and a pool...pretty good!
(Also, I found you through the sims challenge yahoo group...I think I forgot to mention that.)

I never found a way for them to fish inside. Everyone paints in their free time or they do something to help add money to the house. Teens dig, fish, or paint. Digging for treasure is very profitable. I've gone through over 10 energizers, so teens and up don't ever sleep and hardly eat. If they do eat, its jello (low prep).

The pool was just a 4x4 pool, only big enough to drown the butler. I've yet to have a butler worth his pay in this town.

The vacation time also added to the funds. (fishing, digging, and painting) I'll try to add some shot of how much the paintings are going for.

Thanks for visiting.

I really don't know how your sims find the time for everything they do. Finding a way to keep them plat. so they can use the energizer takes all my time so they can't ever skill or make money unless it's a want!
